General Tire Partners with Tread Lightly!

General Tire has partnered with the outdoor recreation advocacy group, Tread Lightly!® . The Utah based organization, along with their partners, lead a national initiative to protect and enhance recreation access and opportunities by promoting outdoor ethics to heighten individuals’ sense of good stewardship.
Tread Lightly!’s goal is to balance the needs of the people who enjoy outdoor recreation with the need to maintain healthy ecosystems and thriving populations of fish and wildlife. The scope of their work includes both land and water, and is representative of nearly every form of outdoor recreation including, but not limited to hunting, recreational shooting, fishing and boating. They also have a niche in promoting safe and responsible use of motorized and mechanized vehicles in the outdoors.
General Tire’s director of marketing, Travis Roffler, feels this partnership is a logical step for the brand.
“The fact that we are so involved in desert racing and the off-road industry through our Grabber line of tires, it only makes sense for us to support those who are promoting proper usage of our trail system and outdoor recreation areas,” stated Roffler.
Tread Lightly!’s interim executive director, Casey Snider, sees the partnership as a win-win situation.
“We are grateful to General Tire for their commitment to supporting trail access.  Thanks to this partnership, Tread Lightly! will be able to fund future stewardship and restoration projects that help us protect these opportunities,” stated Snider.
