Bob Batson Inducted into the Custom Rod Building Hall of Fame

I am a blessed man with a career/lifestyle that has had so many highlights. This past week was one of those BIG Highlights for me and the Family/TEAM. The Batson Family was honored to have my late father (Bob Batson) inducted into the Custom Rod Builders Guild Legacy Legends Hall of Fame

In recognition for exemplary standards of excellence, dedicated service and significant contributions to the advancement of the Craft of Rod Building.

The Custom Rod Builders Guild also said the following about my Father. This was a very emotional moment for me..

“Bob Batson was widely recognized as the “Moral Compass” within the organization and was highly respected for his sterling standards of fair and ethical treatment of all. He believed in people and supported worthy causes. He openly shared his many custom rod building talents. Bobs legacy will endure as an example of decency, caring and sharing… and thriving for the highest standards of quality in everything that he was involved in.”

WOW>>> I know my father was a GREAT man and is everything the Guild has recognized him for..

The Batson family continues the Vision and Direction my father set in us..

This was presented to me at a Rod Builders Gathering in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin..

The event was very well attended, more folks than I thought were going to be there. Well over 50 rod builders were in attendance. I was honored to be one of the guest speakers. I spoke about the Batson Family and what we do for our Great Craft/Art/Industry and lifestyle. I also shared with the group our latest and Greatest Rod Blank line, The RX10/Eternity blanks.

It has been too long that I have attended a gathering like this. It brings me back to our roots in the craft and makes me reflect on the journey the Batson family has had. From a small custom rod building rod shop in Maui to the the Largest Wholesale distributor in the country for Rod Blanks and Rod Building components.

And of course I got out to do a little Research and Development/Fishing.. I was able to land my personal best small mouth bass, estimated about 4lbs. so high 3 pound small mouth.

What a joy and a blessing to have such great adventures. None of this would not be possible without our Faith in God and the good folks who we partner with in this industry. Thank you all who support the Batson Family Vision

Take care

God Bless
