ALEXANDRIA, VA (January 24th, 2023) – The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) has announced a partnership with Pure Fishing to equip a Take Me Fishing™ Mobile First Catch Center for the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR). This donation will allow the SCDNR to bring hands-on fishing opportunities and conservation education to multicultural audiences in metropolitan areas across the state.

“We are thrilled to have Pure Fishing’s support behind our South Carolina-based Take Me Fishing™ Mobile First Catch Center,” said Dave Chanda, President & CEO of the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation. “This collaboration between industry and state is the type of cooperation needed to continue attracting and retaining new anglers and boaters.”

TAKE ME FISHING™ MOBILE FIRST CATCH CENTER

PURE FISHING EQUIPS TAKE ME FISHING™ MOBILE FIRST CATCH CENTER IN SOUTH CAROLINAThe Take Me Fishing™ Mobile First Catch Centers first launched in 2018 as a pilot program in Texas and Pennsylvania to foster the next generation of anglers. Equipped with everything anglers need, the trailers are filled with rods, reels, nets, coolers, rod racks, hooks, bobbers, and more. State fish and wildlife agencies oversee each First Catch Center’s programming, providing experiential learning opportunities for participants to develop fishing skills and learn about conservation ethics.

“Pure Fishing is honored to be able to support the first Take Me Fishing™ Mobile First Catch Center in our home state of South Carolina,” said Marc Kempter, Vice President of Marketing Communications for Pure Fishing. “Initiatives like the mobile center are innovative ways to bring fishing to metropolitan areas and introduce the sport we love to a new generation of anglers.”

Thanks to Pure Fishing’s donation, South Carolina now joins 19 states and the District of Columbia in operating two dozen Take Me Fishing™ Mobile First Catch Centers across the country.
