HOT SPRINGS, AR (March 2, 2021) – As the 2021 Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour readies to start the season at the Toro Stage 1 on Sam Rayburn later this month, veteran tournament professional, Stephen Browning, has announced he is returning to the boat manufacturer he began his career in back in 1996.
The Bass Pro Tour tournament angler is returning to the boat manufacturer he began his successful career in more than two decades ago.
“I’m grateful for the years I’ve spent with Triton that goes back to 2000,” Browning said. “But when the most iconic bass boat brand in the industry asks you to come aboard, quite honestly, it’s a privilege and honor. Of course I said yes.”
Browning’s career has spanned more than two decades and includes multiple wins and almost $1.5 million in earnings. He has been featured in episodes of The Bass Pros, Day on the Lake and Bass Tech, to name a few, each airing on ESPN. Stephen was also chosen to compete in The Wild Rules, a reality survival series shown during prime time on ESPN. Stephen eventually won the contest along with the $100,000 prize check.
“I started my career in a Ranger and I want to finish my career in a Ranger. Whether it be 5 years down the road or 20 years,” Browning said. “It’s no surprise that Ranger has one of the most loyal followings in the industry, and being associated with the Ranger brand, I feel my fanbase will no doubt grow as well. I’ll also be working with Bradford Marine as my local Ranger Dealer, another iconic brand and dealership in the state of Arkansas and one that I’ve had a personal relationship with for over 40 years.”
“Ranger’s decades-long tradition of excellence on the water has been proven at every level of competitive fishing, and our pro staff is a reflection of that,” said Scott Arms, White River Marine Group Pro Staff Manager. “We couldn’t be prouder to be welcoming back homegrown Arkansas boy Stephen Browning, who brings immense experience and a wealth of success to the Ranger Family. We’re excited to see what he does out of his Z521L.”
With more than 50 years of boat-building expertise built into the Z521L Comanche®, it’s an unparalleled bass fishing machine. No one comes close to the level of quality, commitment and proven excellence inside and out of every Ranger boat. The bold look of the Z521L translates into confidence whether you’re blowing across big water or sliding into shallows. The L Series designs feature unique styling, handmade Ultra-Comfort bucket seats, a simple and secure keypad, distinctive consoles, LED lights and a custom trailer for functional beauty that sets you apart.
A tournament-proven layout is designed with efficiency, maximum storage and convenience in mind. A high-strength pultruded fiberglass transom, fiberglass stringers, upright, level flotation and a foam-filled core all add up to deliver that legendary one-piece feel and responsive performance for which Ranger® boats are known. Every Z521L is custom built to be the apex of bass boat performance, technology and style. Like Ranger itself, the Z521L has nothing to prove.
“Quite honestly, I could highlight the countless advanced features and the meticulous level of detail that goes into the finish of each and every Ranger Boat, but that can all be summed up by saying, ‘I ride a Ranger.’” Browning said. “That says it all.”
Browning and the rest of the Bass Pro Tour field open the season with the Toro Stage 1 at Sam Rayburn Reservoir presented by Power-Pole, Sunday through Friday, March 21-26. The Bass Pro Tour is Major League Fishing’s top-level competitive circuit, in which 80 anglers compete in seven Stages, culminating with REDCREST, the Bass Pro Tour championship. The Bass Pro Tour events stream live on MLF NOW! and you can watch for free on MajorLeagueFishing.com and the MLF app.
