NEW St. Croix PHYSYX Rods

PARK FALLS, Wis. (March 22, 2024) – The physical aspects of fishing allow anglers to execute their mental game plan. Making the intended cast; presenting the lure with optimal action; setting the hook; fighting the fish – these are all physical acts that require angling skills and expertise, but each is governed by the core scientific principles surrounding energy and force. From loading the rod – for a cast,  a hookset, or to move a fish away from trouble – to sensing a strike, lure action, or lure contact, every action has a reaction.

Conceived in science and born from 75 years of passionate experience in designing and crafting the Best Rods on Earth, the all-new St. Croix PHYSYX Series exists to elevate the angling experience by promoting and advancing angler control in every physical action.

What Makes PHYSYX Unique?

SCIV+ Carbon Fiber Blanks

SCIV+ blanks were introduced on 2023 Legend Tournament rods; they are among the lightest and best-balanced blanks ever produced in Park Falls. These hybrid carbon fiber blanks feature a distinct and exotic blend of SCIV and SCVI material on every different length, power, and action to create rods that are exceptionally refined, balanced, light, strong, sensitive, and optimized for their intended techniques and presentations. Select moderate-action reaction-bait models have iAct Glass blanks, which are a hybrid layup of our SCIV+ and 100% linear S-glass materials.

Molded Carbon Fiber TRIGON Handle

This is an evolution of the wildly popular and successful agglomerated cork TRIGON handle introduced on last year’s award-winning Mojo Bass Series. This rigid, molded carbon fiber version takes TRIGON’s benefits of anthropometric design – namely, dramatically increased comfort and control – to all-new levels, while offering superior energy transmission that has not been seen in a St. Croix handle since Gen-2 Xtreme Skin in the current-generation Legend Xtreme Series.

Molded Carbon Fiber DYNAMIX Reel Seat

The next-generation St. Croix DYNAMIX reel seat is stronger, lighter, and transmits energy better than the previous nylon DYNAMIX reel seat, while blending seamlessly with the TRIGON handle to create the ultimate angler interface.

Rear Trigger

A unique rear-trigger element near the base of the handle on PHYSYX casting and spinning models works in conjunction with the TRIGON handle design to further promote control and accuracy during casting. This innovative design feature benefits all anglers but excels when making precise presentations to fish on live sonar.

Titanium Guides

All PHYSYX models receive premium, rigid titanium guides with silicon carbide rings. These advanced guide trains support maximum performance with all line types and further promote PHYSYX’s supreme balance.

25 Models

PHYSYX is a complete, technique-optimized freshwater series consisting of 17 casting models and 8 spinning models to guide anglers toward new levels of accomplishment and success on the water. PHYSYX’s 25 models include existing angler favorites like the C70HF and C70MHMF, as well as new lengths, powers, and actions like the C76MHMF.

15-Year Warranty

Designed and handcrafted in Park Falls, Wisconsin, USA, PHYSYX is backed by a 15-year warranty and St. Croix service.
