Mercury Marine Begins Shipping Avator 75e and 110e Electric Outboards to Global Customers

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (Sept. 18, 2024) — Mercury Marine, a division of Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC), has officially started shipping its highly anticipated Avator 75e and 110e electric outboards to customers worldwide.

These latest additions to Mercury’s Avator electric propulsion system lineup mark an important step in the company’s push for more sustainable boating solutions. Both models were launched earlier in June 2024, expanding Mercury’s electric outboard offerings, which now include the 7.5e, 20e, 35e, 75e, and 110e models.

Since its initial release in 2023, the Avator series has garnered multiple awards across the marine and electronics industries. Notably, the Avator 20e and 35e models won the 2024 CES Innovation Award and were recognized as part of the 2024 Boating Industry Top Products Awards, affirming Mercury’s leadership in the evolving electric boating market.

“This is an exciting day for Mercury Marine as we deliver on our commitment to bringing five low-voltage electric outboards to market,” said John Buelow, President of Mercury Marine. “We look forward to all our customers around the world having the opportunity to power bigger sustainable adventures on the water.”

Cutting-Edge Technology for Sustainable Boating

At the core of the Avator™ series is industry-first transverse flux motor technology, which offers instant torque and reliable, efficient power. The new 75e and 110e models connect to the Avator 5400 Power Center, allowing for seamless battery integration. Customers can connect up to four 5400Wh lithium-ion batteries, which are weather-sealed, rugged, and touch-safe, ensuring extended range and runtime. This level of power is ideal for those who want to experience longer and more sustainable boating adventures.

Mercury also offers two charging options: a 520W portable charger that can recharge two fully depleted 5400Wh batteries in approximately 20 hours, and a 1050W charger that significantly cuts down the charging time by more than 50%, provided there is an AC-compliant inlet and breaker.

Features for All Boating Needs

Both the 75e and 110e models are available with digital remote controls designed for boats equipped with console steering. The 75e also comes with the option of a multi-function tiller handle for those seeking more manual control. Additionally, a standard power tilt system enables boaters to easily raise or lower the outboard to enhance efficiency or operate in shallow waters.

A Growing Lineup of Electric Outboards

With the release of the Avator 75e and 110e, Mercury Marine continues to push the boundaries of electric propulsion technology. These latest models join the 7.5e, 20e, and 35e, completing Mercury’s low-voltage electric outboard lineup, and positioning the company as a leader in the sustainable boating movement.

Mercury’s commitment to innovation and sustainability has made the Avator series a success, and as these new models start to hit global markets, more boaters will be able to experience the power and efficiency of electric propulsion.
