MERCURY INTRODUCES A NEW OUTBOARD ENGINE

Mercury introduces all-new 3.4L 175 / 200 / 225hp V-6 outboards At 10:15 a.m. EST on Thursday, February 15th at the Miami International Boat Show, Mercury unveiled its new 3.4L V-6 outboard platform . Building on the success of Mercury’s 75 – 150hp FourStroke outboards, the new V-6 extends Mercury’s FourStroke offering to 175, 200 and 225hp.

The new Mercury FourStrokes are precision engineered from skeg to cowl. Packed with advanced technology to improve all aspects of performance and reliability, the robust 3.4-liter V-6 engines – designed to minimize weight and maximize fuel economy – deliver Mercury’s best-ever FourStroke hole shot, top speed and fuel efficiency. The new FourStrokes also provide unsurpassed dampening of sound and vibration for a superior boating experience, and Idle Charge battery-management prevents boaters from draining their batteries while operating multiple electronic devices.

The new V-6 FourStroke engines, available with mechanical or Digital Throttle and Shift controls for enhanced versatility and repower compatibility, look like nothing else on the water. Bold, contemporary styling is inspired by speed and power, and multiple color options make it easy to personalize.
