Major League Fishing (MLF) is proud to announce the continuation of its global sponsorship with Toyota Motor North America (TMNA). This five-year extension solidifies Toyota’s role as the Exclusive Vehicle and Mobility Sponsor of the world’s premier tournament-fishing organization.
A Shared Vision for Excellence
Jim Wilburn, MLF President of Sales, highlighted the success of the partnership, noting the alignment in corporate values between MLF and Toyota. “Our relationship with Toyota has been exceptional,” Wilburn said. “As the Official Vehicle Sponsor, they have played a pivotal role in enhancing the experience for our anglers and fans. We are excited to extend this collaboration until 2028.”
Extending a Fruitful Collaboration
This renewal builds upon the four-year agreement initiated in 2020. Toyota will continue as the title sponsor of the MLF Toyota Series, spotlighting elite regional anglers competing for significant awards and the opportunity to face off against top international anglers in the Toyota Series Championship and REDCREST. These events offer the sport’s most lucrative prizes, with $200,000 and $300,000 for the winners, respectively. Furthermore, Toyota will maintain the highly successful Toyota Bonus Bucks program, offering unique incentives to MLF competitors across all experience levels.
Commitment to the Fishing Community
Steve Appelbaum, National Manager of Sponsorship Integration for Toyota Motor North America, expressed Toyota’s satisfaction in extending their involvement. “Our partnership with MLF allows us to engage with a dedicated fanbase, showcasing our vehicles to an audience that shares our passion for excellence,” Appelbaum remarked.
Expanding Presence in Bass Fishing
Since 2020, Toyota has been a significant sponsor in the bass fishing arena. Their renewed commitment includes a strong presence across MLF media platforms, including live tournaments, digital content, and television programming on networks such as CBS, Discovery Channel, and Outdoor Channel. Toyota will also feature as a premier exhibitor at the upcoming REDCREST 2024 Outdoor Sports Expo in Birmingham, Alabama.
Continued Support for Professional Anglers
In addition to the MLF sponsorship, Toyota will also maintain its support for Bass Pro Tour anglers Mark Daniels, Jr. and Terry “Big Show” Scroggins, further demonstrating their commitment to the sport of bass fishing.
