KÜHL Alloy Hoody Product Review

The KÜHL Alloy Men’s Lightweight Hoody features soft, sweater-knit fabric that breathes and wicks away moisture. The five-panel hood lays flat for comfortable layering on the trail, road or mountain top. Start a new adventure with a KÜHL hoody that performs as well as you.

The KÜHL Alloy Hoddy retails for $89 and comes in three colors: graphite, cloud grey, and blue depths.

At first glance I really liked the shirt. There’s a cool horizontal pattern within the graphite color and the small, stealth KÜHL logo on the arm and back gives it a clean look.

The graphite hoody is a made from a medium-weight material which can be worn by itself during the summer or as a layer in the winter. The material is polyester but doesn’t feel like other performance shirts; it’s texture is more like cotton, soft and matte as opposed to shiny and smooth.

The Alloy Hoddy is very comfortable. Its athletic cut fits the arms and chest well while leaving a little room in the mid-section. I tested the XL size and found the body and sleeves of the shirt to be slightly longer than those of other similar shirts in the same size. The sleeves weren’t too long that they interfered with hand mobility, and the hem was just a tad longer than others I’ve tried. Actually, I prefer the extra length on a cold morning as I can tuck it in and it’s long enough to stay put when I’m seated or moving up and down. The full-coverage hood provides good protection against the sun and when coupled with a hat or beanie it adds warmth on a cold day.

The Alloy Hoody is a quality universal piece of clothing that can be worn while fishing, hiking or enjoying nearly any outdoor activity. Not to mention it’s stylish enough to be worn out to dinner or a night on the town.

As winter approaches, I’d wear a short sleeve tee underneath and use the Alloy Hoody as the second layer along with a balaclava or neck gator.

Overall, I’m very happy with the Allow Hoody. It’s a quality piece that I’m enjoying.

I’ve had this shirt for several months but wanted to make sure it held together well after multiple washes before posting a review. I’m happy to report that it has, and it still looks new after wearing and washing 10 times.
