Designed for adventurers who venture beyond cellular service, this device combines rugged durability with a long-lasting battery life, capable of functioning for weeks. The inReach Messenger Plus can be used independently or paired with the Garmin Messenger™ app on a compatible smartphone, offering versatile communication options, including group texts, photos, and voice messages.
The device also integrates seamlessly with Garmin’s 24/7 emergency response center, Garmin Response℠, for interactive SOS coordination, further enhancing its appeal for safety and peace of mind during outdoor excursions. - Interactive SOS: In emergencies, users can exchange SOS messages with rescue coordinators and share voice or photo updates of their situation.
- Route Sharing: GPS coordinates and live tracking information can be shared, offering real-time updates on routes and locations.
- Off-Grid Navigation and Weather Updates: When paired with the Garmin Explore™ app, users can access detailed navigation and weather reports for their current or intended destination.

Compact and lightweight, the inReach Messenger Plus is engineered to withstand extreme environments. Its IPX7 water resistance rating allows for immersion in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes, and its internal, rechargeable lithium battery can last up to 600 hours in low-power mode. For additional convenience, the device can also provide safety charging to restore a depleted phone, ensuring users can send critical messages even in challenging conditions.
