Fishing Analyst Marty Stone Joins FLW Live

marty stone flw FLW, the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, and Major League Fishing (MLF) announced the addition of veteran MLF NOW! analyst Marty Stone to the FLW Live broadcast team. Stone, one of the most respected voices in the sport of professional bass fishing, joins the FLW Live broadcasts for the remaining Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit events, as well as the Tackle Warehouse FLW TITLE presented by Toyota, the Pro Circuit Championship.

“We’re blending both worlds – Major League Fishing and FLW – and the Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit is full of a lot of good, hungry and motivated fisherman. They are some of the most fun events that I have had the opportunity to cover,” said Stone. “My FLW co-hosts Travis Moran and Todd Hollowell are completely different personalities than MLF’s Chad (McKee) and J.T. (Kenney), and they are total professionals and have welcomed me into their world. I know that there was already a ton of talent on the Pro Circuit, and now with the addition of the MLF pros I’m excited to see how the rest of the season plays out.”

“Marty’s extensive experience in our sport, including his many years fishing FLW tournaments, give him a unique voice and great insight into the intricacies of professional bass fishing,” said FLW Executive Vice President and General Manager Kathy Fennel. “There was a natural chemistry between Marty, Travis and Todd on the Lake Chickamauga Super Tournament broadcast, and we are excited that Marty is able to join our broadcast team for the remaining Pro Circuit events this year.”

Stone becomes a mainstay on the FLW Live on-the-water broadcasts, which air on all four days of competition at the Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit Super Tournaments and six days of competition at the Tackle Warehouse FLW TITLE presented by Toyota. FLW Live features live action from the boats of the tournament’s top pros each day. Stone joins the FLW Live broadcast team of Travis Moran and Toyota Series pro Todd Hollowell to break down the extended action each competition day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. On-the-water broadcasts are live streamed on FLWFishing.com.

A North Carolina native, Stone fished for 17 seasons at the sport’s top levels and amassed nearly $1 million in career earnings. Stone qualified for four Bassmaster Classics, four FLW Cup Championships, was a two-time event winner, FLW Angler of the Year runner-up in 1997 and Bassmaster Angler of the Year runner-up in 2005. Stone has transitioned from retired professional angler into full-time Director Event Research and Program Analyst with MLF.
