BAM Meets Misty Loggins

This girl is amazing! Bass Angler Magazine (BAM) had the chance to meet Misty Loggins watch her fish like a pro and sing like the country star she is.

From the legendary Ryman Auditorium to The Bluebird Café, banjo-picking to yes, bass fishing, country fans have just plain fallen in love with Misty Loggins. Best known for her vivid story-telling and the resounding truth in her powerful vocals, this North Georgia farm girl connects with sold out crowds through her award-winning musicianship and engaging, dynamic personality.

When she’s not on stage or in the studio, you can find Misty out on the water yanking in monster bass or in a tree-stand hunting as a member of the Bowtech Archery Prostaff.  While Misty is undeniably country, her music draws from a deep well of influences ranging from traditional country to blues, southern rock and beyond.

From making crowds roar with laughter when singing about fishing in “Tie One On: The Fishing Song” or sharing the trials and tribulations of a female big-rig driver in “The Truckin’ Song,” to the soulful, bluesy twang of “Red Georgia Mud” or her tear jerking, true life story of growing up as a farmer’s daughter in “Poor Man’s Floor,” Misty’s songwriting takes the listener on an unforgettable journey that they’re eager to go on again. Whether she’s rocking out on her electric Gretsch guitar or picking a toe-tapping tune on her banjo, Misty loves to entertain and it shows.

Misty has shared the stage with many of the Grand Ole Opry’s biggest stars and has had the honor of a standing ovation at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Honored by the Country Music Association (CMA)  as an Emerging Artist, Misty had an overwhelming response at her CMA Music Festival meet-and-greets, where she signed thousands of autographs and debuted her Bass Angler Magazine cover.

Her first music video “Talk Country To ‘Em” went viral with over a quarter million views. This All-American girl has a large overseas following and was chosen to headline the Country Festival in Bern Switzerland. In addition to lighting up the stage in her live performances, Misty is no stranger to television.  She’s made numerous appearances on shows like CMT’s Top 20 Countdown and Hazel Smith’s Country Fried Flicks. Her vivid songwriting has made her a favorite at the BMI Key West Songwriters Festival, where she has shared the bill with artists such as Kacey Musgraves, Randy Houser, Florida Georgia Line, Love & Theft and Jamey Johnson.

As a songwriter, Misty has been blessed to have her songs cut by other artists, but she truly loves sharing her southern stories with all the heart and character of her own unique, country voice. In 2015 Misty made history by combining fishing, country music and breathtaking views in her 2015 fishing calendar “Tie One On.”
