Bajío Introduces Eldora Frames To Their 2023 Collection

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla.  June 7, 2023) –  Bajío Sunglasses, maker of blue-light filtering, sustainably-made, performance sunglasses that are built to save the world’s saltwater flats and estuaries, is proud to announce that it has officially added Eldora to its 2023 collection. This unisex frame was named after a flat in Bajío’s backyard, and features technical attributes, like Bajio’s built-in Sun Ledges™, to block the sun while still maintaining a style-forward design.

Just south of Bajio’s home in New Smyrna Beach, lies a flat in Mosquito Lagoon world-renowned for sight fishing for redfish. Meet Eldora: a historic 1800s home site that serves as the focal point of the North Lagoon, and namesake to Bajio’s new full-wrap, fully-featured frame.

“The flats in front of Eldora House are literally in our backyard and one of our favorite places to chase tailing reds. So we’re stoked to have a frame that carries its name. “ says Al Perkinson, Founder of Bajio. “Eldora is quickly becoming the go-to frame for women who want to look great while not sacrificing performance. It looks good on dudes too, if they’re brave enough step out and try a new look.”

Bajío Introduces Eldora Frames To Their 2023 Collection

Eldora frames are made from plant-based bio-resin that biodegrades quickly and is gentler on our oceans. They are stronger and lighter than plastic frames, which equates to all-day comfort whether you’re out fishing or at the fiesta. Eldora is a small frame with extra wide sun-blocking temples. It has an aggressive, youthful look making it perfect for long, exposed days out in the sun. In addition, it features generous non-slip rubber nose pads and rubber temple tips for a snug fit.

For a fully-customizable eyewear experience, Eldora is available in thirteen lens options: seven lens colors made from lightweight, bio-based polycarbonate, and six made from glass. Both polycarbonate and glass lenses feature durable anti-scratch properties and oleophobic coatings, which make sunscreen and water easy to remove. All Bajío lenses feature the brand’s polarized proprietary LAPIS™ technology, and each lens is designed for specific light conditions and environments. Bajío lenses offer exceptional clarity and provide a visual experience that is second to none.

Eldora is now available for purchase at your local eyewear retailer or online for $259 with glass lenses and $209 for polycarbonate at bajiosunglasses.com/products/eldora. They’re also available in polycarbonate RX lenses at bajiosunglasses.com/collections/rx as well as Bajío’s new Reader Lenses at bajiosunglasses.com/pages/bajio-readers.  For more information about Bajío’s full collection of award-winning performance fishing sunglasses, visit bajiosunglasses.com.
