The tour is designed to provide a high level of competition for professional bass anglers, with a focus on showcasing the skills and techniques that are required to be successful in the sport. The tournaments are held on some of the best bass fishing lakes and rivers across the United States, and the anglers compete for substantial cash prizes and the opportunity to earn points towards the end-of-season championship.
One of the unique aspects of the Apex Pro Bass Tour is its emphasis on angler participation in the decision-making process for each event. Prior to each tournament, the anglers are given a vote to determine the lake or river that will be the venue for the competition. This allows the anglers to have a greater say in the tournament and also ensures that the competition is held on waters that are optimal for bass fishing.
The Apex Pro Bass Tour has quickly gained a reputation as one of the most competitive and exciting bass fishing circuits in the world. Its innovative format and emphasis on angler participation have helped to attract some of the biggest names in the sport, as well as up-and-coming anglers looking to make a name for themselves.
The first tour held in Plumas County was in April of 2021 where the finalists were greeted with a snow storm on the last day of competition. We are glad that did not keep the competitors and tournament organizers from coming back.
The glittered and “tricked-out” bass boats will be coming into Chester the afternoon of May 10. A meet and greet will be held at Plumas Pines from 4:30 to 6:00pm to give fishing enthusiast an opportunity to talk to the anglers and check out the boats.
The tournament will be a three-day competition with boats leaving the Plumas Pine dock at 6:30am and returning by 3:00pm. Competition includes biggest and most fish caught each day, which will narrow down to 10 finalists competing on Saturday.
Guests are invited to attend the daily weigh-ins, cheer on your favorite anglers and support them and this event as they compete for the title. This is a well-followed, televised event so smile for the camera!
