Grundéns, producer of the world’s leading fishing apparel and footwear, today announces its Spring 2022 lineup, highlighted by products purpose built for fishing performance with a strong focus on sustainability. Following a successful 2021 campaign where Grundéns compostable eco-packaging was introduced to its supply chain, the brand continues its sustainability journey with new products that reduce environmental impact.
“Part of our brand purpose is to help maintain sustainable fisheries around the world, so introducing more products with sustainability features is an exciting step for us,” says Grundéns CEO David Mellon. “Building on the success of our current Solstrale line, the new Solstrale Pro Hoody, Sidereal Pants, and Women’s Sidereal shorts are all made from recycled materials including Econyl, a fabric made from recycled fishing nets. We’re confident that our new Spring 22 lineup will surpass the needs of all anglers without compromising technical performance in any way.”
When sun protection is a must, the new Solstrale Pro Hoodie is the pinnacle piece. Constructed from 100% recycled polyester and utilizing engineered knit panels that optimize abrasion resistance and breathability, the Solstrale Pro Hoodie is rated UPF 50+ and uses three HeiQ Performance Finishes to resist stains and odor. The Solstrale Pro Hoodie debuts in four colors at $89.99. The Daggerboard FZ Hoodie is the ideal sun protection piece for early starts or late evenings on the water where a bit of warmth is needed in addition to sun protection. Built using recycled poly cotton French Terry Fabric, the Daggerboard FZ Hoodie is soft and water resistant. Available in three colors and six sizes for $89.99.
Part of their Net Sourced line of products which are created using Econyl fabrics, the Sidereal pants are designed for warm weather anglers that want a pant tailored for athletic movement and are packed with thoughtful fishing features such as UPF 50 sun protection and wicking, quick drying performance. Available in six sizes and two colors the Sidereal pant retails for $99.99. The women’s Sidereal Short is also constructed from Econyl and is a super comfortable, quick drying short with drawstring waist available in two colors for $59.99.
Layering properly is a critical part of staying warm and maximizing performance on the water. For Spring 2022, Grundéns has four new performance layering pieces to fit the needs of any angler. The Bulkhead
Stretch Jacket adds 4-way stretch to an already successful style. Featuring a rugged, windproof water-resistant outer layer combined with a grid fleece backer, the Bulkhead Stretch Jacket offers a technical burly defense against cold and wet conditions for $134.99. The Kryall is a tough, windproof hoodie designed for commercial fisherman with offshore performance in mind. If grit could be portrayed through a hoodie, the Kryall, available for $99.99, would be it. The Bering Pro ¼ Zip Hoodie is a unique Nylon Stretch Women overlay built specifically for commercial fishermen to manage sweat while actively moving on deck. It retails for $129.99. For women the Women’s Bering Fleece Hoodie is a 100% recycled polyester high loft fleece that is extremely comfortable and helps manage moisture for $99.99.
Building on the brand’s significant momentum in footwear, Grundéns most popular styles are updated with new colors for 2022. The 12” Deck Boot will expand to four colors for $124.99, while the popular Deck-Boss Ankle boot will expand to seven colors for men and six for women, all at $99.99.
