Flambeau Outdoors Cranks Up the Zerust MAX Series

flambeau logoAvailable September 2020 With the summer bite heating up and fall fishing right around the corner, Flambeau Outdoors, a legacy staple in tackle storage innovation, introduces a pair of specialized storage solutions to the Zerust MAX Series of Tuff Tainers for two timeless lure styles: plugs and blades.

Notoriously prone to the game of ‘grab one, grab all’ and distinguished members of the costly class of lures, plugs and blades, from crankbaits to spinnerbaits, now have unique systems designed for simplicity to independently protect and organize any arsenal of skirted safety pins or treble hook endowed lures.

BLADE KRATE – TANGLE-FREE STORAGE FOR SPINNERBAITS, CHATTERBAITS, AND BLADED LURES

flambeau blade krateFor over 70 years, bladed baits have glided above submerged hydrilla, ripped through dense lilly pads, and run adjacent to fallen trees to make them a timeless tool in any angler’s tackle boxes.

At the top of the list stands the king of blade baits, the spinnerbait, along with the prince of blades, the chatterbait. These well-known, versatile lures rightfully deserve a tackle storage solution of equal prestige and versatility. Enter the Blade Krate, a specialized storage system designed to finally give the angler organization satisfaction for any collection of bladed, skirted, and inherently prone to tangle fish favorites.

Featuring 21 Zerust-infused anti-corrosion plastic folders designed to hang 2 lures each via integrated clips, all hooks, skirts, and blades are individually protected and preserved in removable billfold-style clams for tangle-free storage.

The Blade Krate offers organization for 42 bladed lures in a compact footprint spec’d to fit standard tackle bags and boat compartments.

The simple, ergonomic filing cabinet design allows modification to create up to 3 bulk storage compartments when a section of folders is removed for accompanying soft plastic trailers. The purpose-driven functionality of the Blade Krate conveniently reorganizes the angler’s priorities: more time fishing and less time fussing with a tangled mess of hooks, blades, and skirts.

“I am super excited for the new Flambeau Blade Krate and Crank Bank storage boxes. It’s important for me to have my boat as organized and as clean as possible. These new storage boxes will allow me to do just that. Instead of spending 15 minutes sorting and untangling my blade and crank baits, I can be more precise and choose the right one in just a split second,” says Zack Birge, professional Major League Fishing angler and 2015 FLW Rookie of the Year.

CRANK BANK – PULL. POUR. TIE. SOLITARY TANGLE-FREE CRANKBAIT AND OTHER HARD BAIT STORAGE

crankbait boxKeep your valuable hooks sharp and paint fresh one plug at a time. The Crank Bank’s inventive system of 24 removable cups gives anglers fast access to individually stored and independently protected hard baits. Just pull, pour, and tie. The simple, effective cup format eliminates the risk of playing barrel-of-monkeys out on the water or catching a treble hook when fishing for the right plug.

The cups are sized to fit and securely store hard lures commonly spec’d for the following diving depth classes: round-bill crankbaits (15 feet or less), square-bills (8 feet or less), and jerkbaits (6 feet or less). The Crank Bank isn’t just a vault for precious crankbaits, it’s a convenient and versatile storage solution for spooks, poppers, frogs, and other hard sided baits outfitted with multiple hooks ready and willing to tangle.

Slated to retail at $19.99, both boxes will hit stores this September.

Both new storage offerings feature the benefit of fully-infused, anti-corrosion VCI technology engineered into the Zerust MAX family of Tuff Tainers. There’s a reason why the U.S. military turned to Zerust-infused solutions to safely protect advanced weapon systems stored on the decks of naval ships during transoceanic voyages—uncompromising corrosion protection for the harshest marine environments.

The Zerust® MAX Tuff Tainer® line builds on the Flambeau legacy as the pioneering force and industry leader in anti-corrosion tackle storage innovation to offer anglers an enhanced level of Zerust VCI vapor technology now impregnated directly into the entirety of each box. Flambeau’s exclusive Zerust VCI products consist of a proprietary chemical formulation that automatically releases an invisible, odorless, tasteless, and FDA-safe vapor that diffuses throughout an enclosed Zerust MAX Tuff Tainer and coats all exposed metal surfaces to form a protective molecular layer that inhibits the electrochemical reactions that cause rust and corrosion to form. The result is unmatched rust prevention performance for a minimum of 5 years in the most extreme environments an angler will encounter.
