6th Annual River2Sea Tournament on Clear Lake

As advertised, the 6th annual River2Sea Open held on Clear Lake last weekend, surely did not disappoint as 114 teams descended on Clear Lake – at Konocti Vista Casino, to partake in the annual “Big Party” and sample a small taste of Clear Lake’s late summer to early fall transitional bite.

Substantially cooler air temps (low to mid 80’s), coupled with even cooler night-time temps (low 60’s), helped make this event both comfortable and fun, as anglers reported catching tons of fish, and nearly every team in the field were able to produce multiple limits each day.

Kavros and Leber – 2017 R2Sea Open Champions!

Capturing the 2017 R2Sea Open Crown was the team of Brett Leber and Chuck Kavros of Vacaville and Grass Valley respectively, who bagged a 2-day, five-fish limit that weighed 36.66 pounds. They were very discreet regarding the exact R2Sea bait they used to win, as both plan to fish the upcoming FLW event taking place on Clear Lake at the end of this month.

For their victory, they received $5,000 in cash and two custom River2Sea Championship trophies!

Ridiculous raffle, delicious food, “Golden Ticket”
It is important to note that the River2Sea Open is more than just another bass-fishing tournament.
It is first and foremost a “Big Party”, that allows the principles at River2Sea USA corporation to directly demonstrate their appreciation for the support they have received from their legions of loyal customers.

For at this event – on the final day, over $20,000 in cash was awarded, over $40,000 in prizes were given away in a FREE raffle (including a $10,000 “Golden Ticket” package), and each participant was treated to a delicious Bar-B-Que dinner.

River2Sea USA president Simon Chan, National Sales Manager Angelo Alorro and Angler’s Press Outdoors would like to thank every one of the participants, and the many sponsors – past and present, that have done so much to help keep the River2Sea Open and “the Big Party” rolling on like it has for so many years. Your support is sincerely appreciated.

We look forward to seeing you at next year’s event!
