Exposed Takes Fans to the California Delta

Brent Ehrler on ProPatterns Exposed Season 5

ProPatterns Exposed returns for the first of a three-part run on the California Delta. This week and next month, Exposed will follow three returning Exposed anglers as they set out on what competitive anglers call the west coast swing, a leg on the Elite trail that in 2015 took anglers to the California Delta and Lake Havasu.

Exposed comes to fans commercial free on the ProPatterns.com interactive platform. Exposed, which specializes in educational fishing entertainment, takes fans into the boat with the top bass anglers in the world. Exposed filmed for the first time on the California Delta on the days leading up to the 2015 Sacramento Bassmaster Elite at Sacramento River.
Exposed followed Elite anglers Brent Ehrler, Fletcher Shryock, and Mark Menedez, each for a full practice day, as the three explored and studied the California Delta, a delta system formed in California’s Central Valley by the Sacramento River and San Joaquin River.

The focus of each episode of Exposed is to help fans understand the mindset and strategies of each pro as they spend practice days studying and dissecting bodies of water in preparation for Elite competition. As its name suggests, Exposed reveals not only the science that leads successful tournament fishing, but also the secrets that can improve any fishing enthusiast’s success on the water.

On Wednesday, Feb. 24, Exposed features six-time champion angler and 2015 Rookie of the Year Brent Ehrler.
Ehrler returns to Exposed after having appeared in the second season of the series at Wheeler Lake. Exposed had the opportunity of filming with Ehrler at the start of what would prove to be a hot run of finishes. After a strong showing at the California Delta, Ehrler went on to place 13th at Lake Havasu. Though he failed to land in the top twelve at Havasu, Ehrler moved on to the Toyota Texas Bass Classic. At the TTBC, with a final weight of 89 lbs. 12 oz., Ehrler brought home the top prize.

On March 9th, Exposed returns with Elite angler Fletcher Shryock. The former AMA professional motocross and supercross racer came to the sport of bass fishing after a career ending shoulder injury. Shryock fished his first open five years ago and soon after qualified for the Elite series. The young up-and-comer returns to Exposed this season after having first filmed with Exposed during its second season on the Mississippi River.

On March 23, veteran three-time champion Mark Menendez comes back to Exposed after appearing in the inaugural season of Exposed. Menendez holds the distinction of catching a 13-pound, 9-oz. bass in 1997, the biggest bass caught up to that point on the BASS circuit. He held the record for two years and recounts here how on the California Delta in 2003 he nearly shattered that record.
