The Tackle Warehouse Demo Program makes it easy to “try before you buy” by delivering ready-to-fish demo reels pre-spooled with P-line FloroClear Clear line anywhere in the continental USA.

Here’s how our program works

How much does it cost?
To demo a reel, click on any of the participating reel manufacturer’s logos below, or click the “DEMO THIS REEL” icon on reel product pages. Add up to four (4) reels to demo, and proceed to check out. You will only be charged $20 for the UPS delivery and return shipping charges.

Note: Tackle Warehouse may require deposit, to be refunded on return of the reels, and first-time customers may only order up to two (2) demo reels with a mandatory deposit.

How long does it take to get the demos & how long can I keep them?
Anyone in the continental 48 Unites States may demo up to four reels for six full days. The only cost to you is the shipping charges. It’s most economical to demo up to four reels. The reels will be delivered by UPS within two days. Demo orders can only be shipped to the billing address for the credit card submitted with the order. Late returns may be subject to a late fee of $5 per reel, per week. If you’re more than 7 days late and we are unable to reach you, we will charge your credit card for the full price of the reels.

How do I return the demos to Tackle Warehouse?
We provide you with a preprinted UPS return label. All you have to do is seal the reels back in the box, put the return label over the original label and take the box to a UPS Customer Center or any UPS driver. You can locate the Customer Center nearest you using the UPS web site.

What if I forget to return them?
We want as many people as possible to have a chance to demo these reels so it’s important that they’re returned to us on time. If you ship them late, there is a late fee of $5 per reel, per day. If you’re more than 7 days late and we are unable to reach you, we will charge your credit card for the full price of the reels.

Will the demo reels be ready to fish when I receive them?
All reels will come spooled with line and will be ready to fish the minute you receive them. Casting reels will be spooled with either 12lb or 15lb test depending on spool capacity and spinning reels with have 6lb or 8lb test line depending on reel size.

How do I begin?

Here’s How to Demo

• Select the reel you want from the list of demos below. If the reel demo you want is checked out, the expected date of return will be shown. Your order will ship as soon as that demo is returned to us.
• Click Add Demo to put the demo you selected in your shopping basket. You’ll then be shown the contents of your shopping basket along with recommendations for other reels to demo. You can roam around our site adding demos or other items to your order. When you’re ready to check out, you can click either the View Order or Check Out links in the navigation bar of any page
• Demo orders with back ordered items other than demo reels will be separated into two orders. The back ordered items on orders over $50 will be shipped without shipping charges. Any orders less than $50 will incur shipping charges for back ordered items.
• First time customers are more than welcome to participate in our demo program however there are certain requirements. First time customers may only demo up to two reels. The full retail price of the reels will be billed to the credit card submitted with the order. Once the reels have been returned to Tackle Warehouse the charge will be reversed. A valid phone number and email address are required and all first time customers will be contacted by phone to explain the authorization process.
