Bassmaster Classic winners Edwin Evers Joins Mike Iaconelli on Ike Live!

Pittsgrove, NJ, March 24, 2016 – Edwin Evers, the 2016 Bassmaster Classic Champion, joins Mike Iaconelli on Ike Live!, presented by Mystery Tackle Box, on Saturday, March 26, at 7:00 p.m.  ET, live-streaming from IkeLive.com.

Evers, a 10-time B.A.S.S. winner, 13-time Bassmaster Classic qualifier and 3-time runner-up for Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year honors, came from 6 lbs. behind on the third day with 29-3 bag—a giant catch by all definitions—to snatch the championship away from Jason Christie.

Evers talks with Ike about the strategy that brought him to the top of the leaderboard. Later in the show, Mike and co-host Pete Gluszek recap the St Johns River tournament and open the phones for discussion of the Maryland Division of Natural Resources restriction on tournament anglers “possessing” more than one fish over 15” from the Potomac and Upper Chesapeake.

About Mike “Ike” Iaconelli

A South Philadelphia native now living in South Jersey, Mike Iaconelli fell in love with fishing at his grandfather’s side in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.  He began fishing in tournaments after high school, joined the pro-am circuit in 1992 and turned pro in 2000.  In 2003, he won the Bassmaster Classic.  He is the only angler to win the Bassmaster Classic, Bassmaster Angler of the Year and B.A.S.S. Nation Championship.

He and wife Becky run The Ike Foundation®, which provides fishing equipment to youth fishing clubs to “get kids fishing.”  In addition, he and fellow fishing champ Pete Gluszek run The Bass University, which offers intense 2-day fishing classes and on-the-water experiences that bring avid amateurs and professional fishermen together.
