Win a boat for catching a swim bait?

Anglers they are not bass…they only look like the swim baits you use to catch bass.

But that’s not the point.

The point is that some of you diehard “bassers” who have families, never get a chance, or most likely can never find a venue that caters to the kind of fishing action the ENTIRE FAMILY can enjoy or participate in.

But your opportunity to do just that is available this weekend at San Pablo Dam in El Cerrito, as the Fish Sniffer Magazine in collaboration with Angler’s Press Promotions, is presenting the 2nd annual NorCal Trout Anglers Challenge! – an event that grew out of last year’s incredibly successful Bay Area Trout Angler’s Challenge, and promises to deliver a ton of fun for the whole family!

The difference from last years event (which had over 150 participants), is that this is a 5-event series. So instead of having only one event where the top 25 anglers with the biggest trout draw for a Klamath boat, motor and trailer package, the top 50 anglers with the biggest trout – from five different events held throughout the year, will compete for a Klamath boat, motor and trailer, at the NorCal Trout Angler’s Tournament of Champions to be held in mid October!

In addition, the top 25 kids from each event will compete at the NorCal Trout Angler’s Championship for a new Kayak rig!

San Pablo, Amador, Del Valle, Collins, and Lake Camanche are the five lakes that will host the NorCal Trout Angler’s Challenge for 2014, so wherever you live in northern California…there is a lake nearby for you to get in on all of the fun. And remember….you don’t have to fish all events…just make the top 50 in one of them!

The best part…is that the entry fee for each event is only $15…and KIDS 15 and under fish FREE!

Great food, lots of vendor displays, kid division prizes, and more is on tap as anglers vie for the opportunity to win cash, prizes and a berth in the first-ever NorCal Trout Angler’s Challenge Tournament of Champions!

And don’t worry….you do not even have to own a boat to participate in this event, as anglers can “set up camp” and fish from shore, on lakes that are regularly stocked with lots of catchable trout – and San Pablo Dam is considered by many trout anglers as the best pound-for-pound “planted” trout lake in northern California.

So you bass guys….if your practicing with a swim bait…try catching one…you might just win a boat!

See you all this weekend!
