Showtime Oct 21st

Anglers participating in the 2011 Thunder Valley Outdoors/Future Pro Tour Classic Championship on Nov 5th-6th, will get some “gas-saving” help with their pre-fishing as a special pre-fish show designed to help them “break down” two distinctly different bodies of water will air this Saturday on Comcast Sports Net California.

Folsom Lake, where the two-day Classic championship competition will begin, has yet to “turn on” making conditions tough for the 81 teams that fished the  final event of the FPT’s northern region last Saturday. To this end, Don Pagenelli, a top professional guide on Folsom Lake, will offer FPT Classic qualifiers some tips on how to pattern Folsom Lake bass during this transitional period, and what baits he feels will give the 90 Classic qualifying teams the best chance for success during the upcoming championship event.

Alan Fong “Punches it out”

The second part of the show will feature Alan Fong – lure designer, and General Manager at the Fisherman’s Warehouse in Sacramento, who is confident that the “punching” technique will be the key to success for anglers on the second day of the Classic event, which will be held on the California delta. Alan will provide details on how to pattern “punch” fish on the delta in the fall, how to construct an effective “punch” rig, and how to place the bait in the correct stike zone for maximum effectiveness.

Trust me, if you are participating in the FPT Classic championship event, or just want to learn about Folsom Lake, or learn the “punching” technique, you do not want to miss this show!

The show will be broadcast this Saturday, October 15th at 12:30pm on Comcast Sports Net California, and will re-air on Sunday Oct 16th at 8am and 2pm.

So for those anglers participating in the FPT Classic championship event, this show may help you save a bit of gas and time on your pre-fishing as the “Big Show” draws near. And for you folks that have never been to Folsom Lake…this presents a great opportunity for you to learn about one of the best and most fertile lakes the west.

See you all on TV!
