LUVERNE, Ala., (March 22, 2012) – The Professional Anglers Association (PAA) television show, FishPAA TV, has announced an agreement with the Pursuit Channel that will see the organization’s high-energy brand of bass fishing entertainment and education distributed through the Pursuit Channel television universe, beginning March 26 and throughout Q2 2012, and again during Q1-2 2013.
FishPAA TV is the latest of 13 new television fishing series to join Pursuit Channel since July 2011.
Founded in 2002, the PAA (www.fishpaa.com) exists to unify the voice of professional anglers and aid in the growth of the sport of professional bass fishing; educate amateur anglers and increase their bass fishing enjoyment; and further the conservation practices that help ensure bass fishing’s future. Bass Pro Shops, Carrot Stix, Nitro, Mercury, Minnkota, Humminbird, U.S. Reel, T-H Marine, Sign Designs and the Toyota Texas Bass Classic are among the PAA’s most notable supporting brands.
“The Board of Directors and the membership of the Professional Anglers Association are extremely excited to be partnering with the Pursuit Channel.,” said PAA President Dave Mansue. “An industry leader in outdoor programming, Pursuit has quickly built a strong following. And like the PAA, Pursuit continues to grow stronger,” Mansue continued, “making this a perfect partnership for everyone.”
As a network dedicated to traditional outdoors programming, Pursuit Channel is featured in a market-leading 38.5 million homes – the only outdoors network active in all DIRECTV and DISH homes, meaning the nation’s satellite-television viewer pays no extra fees to watch Pursuit Channel.
“Whether it’s a weekend with the local bass club folks, big regional events, or professional-only classics, competitive bass fishing is an All-American outdoors exclusive,” said Dennis Presley, Vice President of MOOSE Media, which represents endemic time buy and marketing for the Pursuit Channel. “Now and generationally, the PAA and the Pursuit Channel are active together on the importance of improving competitive bass fishing opportunities, which can only benefit everyone who fishes.”
Pursuit Channel is the most widely distributed hunting and fishing lifestyle network in the U.S., featuring many of the industry’s top names. Delivered in 38.5 million homes, Pursuit Channel is the only audited outdoors network seen in every DIRECTV (channel 608 PRST) and DISH Network (channel 240 HUNT) home.
