Fishing with Elias, Cella Among PAAuction Items

Autographed collectibles from TTBC pros also up for bidding

BENTON, Ky. (Nov. 3, 2011) – Autographed memorabilia by anglers participating in the Toyota Texas Bass Classic along with two great fishing trips are among the items in the latest PAAuction from the Professional Anglers Association.

Want to learn about crankbaits, reading structure or the Alabama Rig? Win the auction for the trip with 1982 Bassmaster Classic champ Paul Elias on Lake Eddins in Mississippi and you’ll get an unforgettable trip. Elias recently won the FLW Tour Open with a four-day total of more than 102 pounds throwing the Alabama Rig on Guntersville Lake, but his vast experience and knowledge of structure, crankbaits and information will contribute to a day to remember.

If you’re heading to the Red River in northeast Louisiana, you can spend a day with rising pro Kent Cella to learn more about this diverse fishery. Cella competes on the PAA Tournament Series and Bassmaster Central Opens, fishes the Red regularly and will be on the tournament scene for a long time. Learn about this great fishery, which hosted the 2009 Classic and hosts the 2012 event, while spending a day with Cella on his home waters.

At the recently-completed Toyota Texas Bass Classic, the “Tundra Ten” pros who made the final-day cut signed a large, suitable-for-framing sign with the TTBC logo. Only two of these were signed this year to be offered to the public by the PAA. The anglers who signed include Todd Auten, Keith Combs (2011 TTBC Champion), Ott Defoe, Edwin Evers, Alton Jones, Mike Iaconelli, Steve Kennedy, Mark Rose, Brian Snowden (2010 Champion) and Wesley Strader.

Additionally, a Bassaholics-PAA t-shirt signed by all 50 TTBC competitors and legendary pro Jimmy Houston is available. The pros qualified from the PAA Tournament Series, Bassmaster Elite Series and FLW Tour for the TTBC on Lake Conroe.

Other items in this current PAAuction include:

– PAA cap autographed by Mike Iaconelli of New Jersey, who has more than $2 million in winnings along with the Bassmaster Classic and B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year titles;

– Bass Pro Shops cap autographed by more than 30 PAA anglers participating in the 2011 PAA Tournament Series event at Neely Henry in Alabama, including Tommy Biffle, Terry Butcher, Scott Canterbury, Guy Eaker, Shaw Grigsby, Greg Hackney, Randy Howell, Brian Snowden and many more;

– Bomber crankbait autographed by 2000 B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year Tim Horton

– BassTimes magazine autographed by Kevin VanDam, the four-time Bassmaster Classic champion and 7-time B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year. This cover features VanDam after his third Classic championship in 2010.
