Advanced Debuts
New Website to help Anglers Elevate Fishing to the Next Level

While the world is turning the page to a new calendar year, 2011 marks the genesis of a new entry into independent coverage of fishing and the fishing industry.

Advanced is a new website built for the “edutainment of the reader,” a composition process that combines the knowledge of the fishing professional in a manner that teaches and entertains the reader through the different features.

Education by the Pros
The primary section of Advanced is our how to features.  These comprehensive articles provide a window into the mind and the tackleboxes of the anglers who use their skills on the water to earn their living.  The premise of these features is that they will provide the reader a basis to take to the water and accomplish what they desire most from each trip; catching more fish.

Get to Know the Pros
The next feature, the Advanced blog series allows the reader to have a view into the daily lives of some of the world’s best anglers.  The Advanced blogs will be weekly entries by some of the sport’s premier anglers and fishing personalities.

Some of those adding frequent blog contributions to the site will include, Skeet Reese, Mark Zona, Mike McClelland, Brent Ehrler, Ish Monroe, John Murray, Dave Lefebre, Cody Meyer, Fred Roumbanis, Chad Morgenthaler, Justin Kerr, James Niggemeyer, Jarrett Edwards’ Operation Outdoors military outreach, and Charles Plott, a Sports Performance Consultant who will help anglers get more out of their fishing. All of these blogs will be weekly entries, with more in the works

Another ongoing feature will be the Lucky Craft Blog, which will feature a rotation between Lucky Craft staffers Joe Thomas, Takahiro Omori, Kelly Jordon, Anthony Gagliardi, Casey Ashley and western pro Gary Dobyns.

Fantasy Fishing
A favorite feature of the site is sure to be Advanced’s Fantasy Fishing competition.  Free to site visitors, Advanced Angler’s Fantasy Fishing competition will combine the eight Elite Series tournaments and six FLW Tour Majors into a season long competition.  The highest finishing competitor at the end of the season will be awarded a new Stratos 176XT bass boat.

More from Advanced
Other features of Advanced will be full coverage of industry news, called Front Deck News, original Advanced Angler Videos, a National Tournament News section, coverage of College Fishing, and a pictorial rigging series called Hookpoints, designed to help the beginning angler build an arsenal of fishing techniques.

Along with the above, our exclusive Beyond the Pond section will feature the people behind the scenes that help the pro anglers in their pursuit of excellence.  The site will feature a centralized Resource center that will help locate guides or lodges in areas anglers frequent for travel, as well as a comprehensive listing of hyperlinks to allow anglers to purchase their licenses online from the states themselves before they even hit the road.

Advanced also has a regional news section that will give anglers the latest news and information from across the country.  The regional section will also provide local tournament trails a place to publish results of their weekend tournaments on a nationally focused website.

Advanced’s commitment to elevating fishing to the next level means that features will be updated frequently, and will be seasonally relevant.  While the foundation of the site will based on bass fishing, the site will also seek to cover most aspects of fishing news, how-to’s and the industry.  From the deck of pros’ bass boats, to the Redfish and Walleye trails and waterways average anglers visit every day in pursuit of their own angling accomplishment.

John Murray, a long time pro from Phoenix, Ariz. will not only be a featured contributor to the site, he will also be an on tour representative.  His Ranger Z521 will feature an Advanced wrap, and he will be wearing an Advanced jersey in competition.

Advanced is the place to “Elevate Fishing to the Next Level.”  Visit us on the web at and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
