2011 CBAF Kids Bass Camp is being held on Collins Lake April 30th and May 1st this year.
We Need Boaters
It is a unique experience for boys and girls who have an interest in fishing. The camp starts on Saturday April 30th and includes several workshops where campers learn the basics of bass fishing from experienced tournament anglers. The workshops focus on knot tying, lure building, how to pour plastic worms, casting, as well as boating safety.
Each evening there is singing around the campfire and an inspirational message given just for the kids.
On Sunday the campers are treated to a real bass fishing tournament. Pros and tournament anglers who have generously donate their time (and their bass boats) to take the kids fishing for a 1/2 day. The tournament includes a weigh-in just like on ESPN in which the campers are interviewed about their day of fishing. Regardless of the final results, each camper is treated like a special tournament angler. Everyone receives a “Champion” trophy and lots of free fishing tackle, thanks to the generous support of many companies.
We need about 20 more boaters to make this a success. Boaters need to meet us at Collins Lake on May 1st around 5:30 AM to be paired with the kids.
If you are interested in making a difference in a childs life then please join us at Collins Lake on May 1st (bring your boat) and let God work through you! We are currently short about 20 boats and don’t want to leave anyone behind. email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
